Dear Rondina,

No. I belong to the Ontario Chapter of the APG and we use the GPS. I'm
sure there are members of our chapter who aren't aware of it, but we do
try to emphasize it in our workshops and talks.

All the best,

Janice

writes:
I can say from experience hiring other professional genealogists, that
it is not widely known, at least on the east coast of Canada. The people
I hired (not just one or two, but several) had never even heard of it,
let alone practiced it. These are folks who have been taking clients for
many years and are certified by the Genealogical Institute of the
Maritimes (Canada).

Janice,
Is there a standard that has been developed in Canada that mirrors
the Genealogical Proof Standard?

Rondina
