Anyone who lives in any of the boroughs outside of Manhattan (Queens,
Brooklyn, the Bronx [da bronx] and S.I.) would also say, "going into
the city" to mean Manhattan.
The jeopardy question of the day, why is it that the Bronx is the
Bronx with the word THE in front of it? And don't go looking it up
online.
