What sort of date range is your client
interested in?

I believe current DMW records for California
would be unavailable to anyone outside law
enforcement as someone used access to
California DMV records to track down a young
actress and kill her. I don't remember her
name, but this was in the early 1980s and the
young actress played Pam Dawber's character's
younger sister on a TV series.
