I'm back because I am in desperate need of help.

My monitor has decided it needs to rest and shuts itself off every 48
seconds. Turning it off and then back on gives another 48 seconds.

I have done a system restore, first for one week back and then for two.
Neither fixed the problem. Is my monitor on its death bed or is their a
simple fix hidden somewhere in the bowels of Windows XP?
