The Board for Certification of Genealogists is pleased
to award CG designation to the following individual:


Kearby Bon Parker, CG (SM) of Easton, Maryland.

Kearby Parker, a professional genealogist, operates
Keys to Genealogy. She earned a BA from Northwestern
University and an MS from Georgetown University.

She attended the National Institute on Genealogical
Research, the Institute of Genealogy and Historical
Research, the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogical
Research, and completed the NGS American Genealogy
course. Parker developed an adaptable genealogy
course, Keys to Genealogy, which has been presented at
the Academy of Lifelong Learning at Washington
College, the Chesapeake Maritime Museum, and other
organizations. She wrote “Using Land Records in
African American Genealogical Research,” which
appeared in the journal Chesapeake Cousins. Parker
served as an expert witness in an appeal to save an
historic house associated with Frederick Douglass. She
is a member of the Talbot County Historic Preservation
Commission.

Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the Board for
Certification of Genealogists is an internationally
recognized certification body, not a membership
society.
