Dear List,
I want to extend my thanks to everyone who has assisted me with this, both
on list and off. Far from just helping read a census entry you have gone
the extra mile to try and locate the actual place of birth and suggest
further areas of research. Who better to pose a question to than the APG
list? - the finest genealogical minds anywhere!
I had already ordered the death certificate for Ellsworth Lukenbill from
the Minnesota Historical Society as many have suggested - a must use site
for anyone researching in Minnesota. My order confirmation says I should
receive the certificate in 15-20 days, but from previous experience with
them it will most likely arrive much sooner. BTW: When ordering birth
certificates from them you will find that most records can be emailed to you
within a 24 hour turnaround period. You will then have 72 hours to view and
download your image. I love that!
When the record arrives I will let you all know what information is
contained. But that may be a few weeks from now since I will actually be in
north central Minnesota from July 8th till ?? Wi-Fi is scattered, at best,
in the areas of my initial research destinations, and my final "resting"
place is not equipped with internet access at all - but oh, the lake and the
sunsets, and the beauty! You'll hear from me when I tear myself away and
return to the real world. <bg> Thanks again.
Blessings,
Kate
