I happened on a copy of this publication, subtitled "The Cambridge Handbook
for Editors, Copy-editors and Proofreaders", by Judith Butcher, Caroline
Drake and Maureen Leach and wondered if any of the other APG members had had
a chance to compare it to other general copy-editing reference guides.
Or, as it appears from the Google hits, is this specifically a UK guide and
not suitable for US publication work.

Subject: Re: [APG] Ancestry Card Catalog
Thanks to all for the reminder about Ancestry's Card Catalog. I was somewhat
aware of it, but I since I never needed it before, I didn't think of it. I
always just searched again for the name I had previously used in my search,
and found it that way.
I searched again just now and still no hits for Benjamin Parsons. But I when
I entered just [Last Name] Parsons, I got 7 hits, one of which was Benjamin.
If I enter Benjamin in the Keyword field, then I get 2 hits for Benjamin
Parsons.
It's interesting that what I printed on 10/26/2007 was a text transcription,
and what I am getting now are images. PARSONS is a heading for all the
Parsons. Benjamin is the first word on the next line, but still was not
picked up when I entered [First Name] Benjamin [Last Name] Parsons.
