Hello:
Are you aware that you can request them from the county where the person
died? This is often a quicker method of getting the certificate than going
through the state.

I just followed up on a death certificate request I made by mail in April.
I was told the current backlog for death certificates that have been on file
for more than fifty years is 4-5 months. No surprise. Just thought I'd
share the info.
