For my money, your lady from Columbus Junction, Louisa County, IA is likely
Cornelia (possibly Elia?) Pence, who was 15 in the 1915 Iowa State census of
Columbus Junction. The Pence family seems to have been comprised of
William, 36, a physician, Nina, 34, John, 16, Cornelia, 15 and William Jr,
13, plus a 69 year old Cornelia Pence (William's mother?).
The 1915 census doesn't actually group the families, but it puts them in
alphabetical order (more or less) on separate cards. But it gives birth
places and birth places of parents. The Pences moved around a bit, and this
looks about right.
The 1900 census pretty much makes the same case as the Pences were in
Columbus City, Louisa County. William, age 21, Nina, age 19, John, age 1,
and Nelia, 2/12.
