Here in St. Louis, our first education chair was Ed Murray.
He did a fantastic job of getting people on board to teach and offering
classes that excited the members and added beginners to the membership
roster.

As an aside, I'll be talking about this very thing at the FGS conference in
Philadelphia, PA on Wednesday. The talk is "Educating the Public Through
Society Classes".

On the flip side, the Association of Professional Management Conference will
have a talk on "What's in a Name? Adding Education to Your Repertoire"
