Illinois was hit hard this weekend from the remnants of Ike. It
started raining Friday afternoon and did not let up until mid-Sunday.
There are over 7 counties in north eastern and the eastern part of
the state that have been declared disasters. Some of the rivers in
the area still have not crested and many cities are underwater.
Northwestern Indiana is in the same boat (pun unintended) and parts
of Interstate 80/90 are closed because of high water.
That may be the reason for the unavailability of servers in Illinois.
I am in a suburb north of Chicago and we got 7 inches of rain on
Saturday alone.
