The problem I see with that approach is that there is no way to tie witness
on a page to the person's name. It could be a page with the person's name
you looking for, as well as someone else who is the witness.

Debbie

You are correct, the search is very limited. I did see one item that may
help. Have you tried "Peter Hagner Not Witness" for your search terms.
According to Footnote, the Not is supposed to exclude anything with the
words that follow Not.

Hope this helps,

I know how to research as I have been researching for 30 years... All I
am asking how to best use FOOTNOTE to find my ancestor records...

I am looking for all the HAGNERs and NOT the HAGNERs as a witness..

Peter HAGNER signed everyone pension records... I am not interested in
those... I just want to see if Peter HAGNER or Valentin HAGNER has any
records in FOOTNOTE...

I think that the company footnote need to make it easier or choice if we
want to see people records or see people record as a witness...

It is late a night and I hope I am making my self clear... I just don't
have time to go THRU all 4,000+ records with 98 percent is Peter Hagner
signature... for everyone else... He must have been a popular guy and
VERY busy signing....

I have called footnote twice and both time they refer me to the help
file (tips)... I looked and there is nothing there that will eliminate
the HAGNERs that in annotation...

I am glad that people are sharing their knowledge of different societies
and ways to research.. Thank you for taking the time to share that...
