Carolyn,

I read of Rumsey's donation and am hoping it will not result in the
public losing *free* access to the digital maps. None of the articles I
read stated whether or not the agreement with Stanford calls for keeping
the digital images *freely* available to the public. Does the Standford
Magazine mention this at all?

Regards, Debbie
