Excuse me for breaking in, but do you or the Whaleys of Columbia Co,
Walkerville area know anything about the John Richard VanWinkle family who
lived in the area in the mid to late 1800s? I am especially interested in
knowing more about John Richard's parents, Jesse and Catherine. I am trying
to confirm where they are buried and learn more about where they were born
in VA. John Richard lived in or near Magnolia for a while. His parents
resided in the old Moss Township area, John Richard and his two wives, Nancy
Harris and Mandy Jane or Martha Jane Gooden are buried in the
Stewart-Walkersville Cemetery.
