My husband's mother Maria Sibern Gammell Shackelford had a mother named Sallie Edwards and father James Gammell that lived in Hampton, Va.. Is there a connection with the Gammells that you are related.
Did the Gammells come from Scotland? We are unable to find family history that shows when our Gammells came to the US and settled in Virginia. Would appreciate knowing of your history.
