Hi Deo Vindice:
George T Maddox is my great-grandfather. I'm glad that you identified him as a Captain CSA because his book does not identify him as such. My grandmother (his daughter Minnie) transcribed the book as he dictated it.
Linnie (Effie Linnie "Maddox" McElwee) is listed in our family bible as born 1/22/1871 in Van Buren, Ark.
Our bible shows George T Maddoc as buried in Van Buren, Crawford Co., Ark.
What is "SCV"?
Any further information you have found would be appreciated.
Best wishes, Billie Kincade
