Willette,

I found Brinkley, it is/was a populated place in Monroe Co, AR. Monroe Co is
about center No to So in the eastern part of AR. Just one county west of the
Mississippi River. Since your Dad was born in 1913 you can look at a 1920
Monroe Co, AR census and see if you can find him with his or another family.
Your lucky, until 2002, the 1920 Censuses or the last available for public
use.

If your new to Genealogy Research and don't know how to go about obtaining a
copy of the census record, let me know. Won't go into a long winded
explanation, if you already know how.
