Malinda Hollingsworth married Joseph Forman 9 Dec 1851 Clay Co Ky with
Harry Lunsford ,surety.

Children: Born Owsley Co Ky
Sophia b 1851
Leuticia b 1854
William b 1857-8

Children: born Arkansas
Joseph G b 1859
James H b 1861
Stephen M b 1866
Hester b 1873

This family moved from POKE CO, Arkansas to Clay Co Ky in 1896

Malinda died before Joseph. Her son Joseph, listed on his father
JOSEPH FORMAN'S
Civil War pension papers as Malinda Gumm.

No connection has been found for Malinda and Lunsford, Gumm. Did
Malinda change her last name the way Squire Hollingsworth changed his
to Potter after living with his grandparents Benjamin and Susanna
Potter after his mother Sally died?

Most of the Foremans settled in and around BARREN CO KY. Joseph is
there but can't connect him to his father.

Why did they go to Polk Co Arkansas? Was it because the Forman and
Hollingsworth names were so associated with the Cherokee?

Any information will be helpful and welcome.
