Hi All,
I have gotten the Project changed over to reflect having some State
Tombstone Project Managers in place. The list of volunteers by state is
at http://www.rootsweb.com/~cemetery/registry.html
I am still taking care of the states with no volunteer. To me, it just
makes sense for the State Manager to be someone with Archives
experience. So, the only place so far I have announced this is on this
list. I plan to throw it out to the state lists next (thru the SCs).
So, if you want to help out with this by taking your state's page, speak
now. It really will add very little to your workload. Plus, things
will happen on a much more timely basis, since the Project has gotten SO
large that I can't manage it alone any more.
Thanks and just let me know if you are interested. Check the state list
above to see if anyone has volunteered. Oh, and if any of you State
Archives file managers has assistants who aren't subbed to the list,
could you please let them know about this. One of them might like to
take the state page over for Tombstones.
