It appears we have a problem. The files Kay is referring to were in the
wrong directory, and I moved them to the correct state/county directory.
I don't know what she's referring to when she mentions that files were
moved or filenames changed, breaking links.

Linda has had a real problem with the fact that we changed the
Census project Web pages to say..

The USGenWeb Census Project from..
The USGenWeb Archives Census Project

We did this to conform to the Bylaws.. which state that the names
of the projects shall be...

The USGenWeb_________ Project.

Today I fired her as the VA coordinator for the project.. ..she is
somewhat upset.. and is talking about "taking back the Archives
Census Project"..

Another problem I have with her is the location of the completed
transcriptions.. I feel that they should be in one location, where
folks can find them without digging thru all the *other* census files
in the Archives. I am not saying that there should not be copies in
the state directories.. I"m just saying that there should also be
copies in a Census directory, and Linda has refused to even
consider this... in fact, when I recently u/l some files to the census
directory of the Archives, they were deleted, and Linda is the only
one who could have done it. I don't know what happened to them.
Also, the state/county file managers have changed file names and
even moved the files from one county to another, breaking the links
to our Census State pages.

I think that maybe the solution is for us to u/l to a separate archive
and let the Archive FMs copy our files to their state
directories..that way, we could point to our files..but they would
also be part of the USGenWeb Archives....
