Several people of Ring, Wildwood and Corning communities enjoyed a dance at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond McKINNEY here last Saturday night. Orban
GLASGOW of this community and Ernest ELDERS of Corning supplied the music for
the dancers. (Ring)

A meeting was held at the school house here last Friday evening, debating the
question, who will cut next Winter's supply of stove wood for this school. It
was decided that W.C. ALEXANDER is to do that job. (Ring)

A church and Sunday School were organized here last Sunday. Reverend and Mrs.
NETTLES and several others of Pollard attended these exercises. Teachers for
this Sunday School are: Silas ROBERTS, Bible teacher; Roy McKINNEY,
intermediate; Miss Marion ROSON, card class; Silas ROBERTS was
superintendent. Mrs. O.W. FUGATE, secretary-treasurer. Reverend H.A.
NETTLES is to be pastor of our newly-organized church, which holds the voted
name of Ring Chapel. Three additional candidates for church membership were
baptized last Sunday at Dal TAYLOR Point on Black River near here.

P.K. GRIFFIN is building a new house on his farm near the Dal TAYLOR farm in
Wildwood community. (Ring)

Mrs. J.W. WILLS' daughters, Misses Christine and Mary WILLS, Mrs. Fred
KIMBALL and Mrs. Ollie MASON of Blue School District and Mrs. Gene STOUT of
Neelyville motored into this community, Wednesday afternoon when Miss Lorene
ROSSON and the Cletis BROWNS accompanied them to Pigeon Roost Point on Black
River, all enjoying a swim. (Ring)

A Penecostal revival meeting is being conducted by Reverend Arthur WHITE
under an arbor on Ring School District Road near Highway 62. (Ring)

Wood cutting, mowing and baling hay are progressing in this community.
Several here will begin picking cotton within a few days. (Richwoods)

Bill ALEXANDER, Jesse HINKLE, two of the LOWE boys and Ollie HOUSEHOLDER one
day recently left here for Hayti, Missouri to pick cotton.

We have a grocery car, conducted by a woman from Peach Orchard coming through
here each Monday and Thursday. (Ring)

Molasses cooking is in progress throughout the community. (Richwoods)

School vacated at Richwoods last Friday and everyone enjoyed that day,
attending services at Shiloh Church in the morning and later singing and
telling stories and riddles. Among visitors at school were, Willie HAWKINS,
Alene and Nettie TEASLEY, Lucille, Georgia and Ewell STEPP, Mabel and Lloyd
LEONARD, Zelma, Elmer and Thelma WILLIAMSON and Lelia BURNS.

Farmers in this community have been raising cane since last Spring. Now they
are harvesting it and Mr. HOLCOMB at Spur Nine is manufacturing it,
resulting in much sorghum. (Ring)
