Hello, I'm new!!! I am searching for my great great grandmother's maiden
name. Margaret Fitzgerald was born in 1818 in Ireland and was married to
John Fitzgerald who also was born in Ireland. They entered the US in 1852
and I don't know the point of entry--they were in England where a child,
James R. Fitzgerald, was born in 1850. Another son, my great
grandfather,Patrick fitzgerald, was born in 1854 in either Alabama or
Tennessee. Other younger sons of John and Margaret were John Fitzgerald and
Jefferson Fitzgerald both born in Tennessee. I have found the family in the
Clay County 1880 and 1900 census. Margaret was a widow in the 1900 census
living with her son's family--Jeff Fitzgerald. Is there possibly a death
certificate that would show her maiden name?

I am trying to find her maiden name and then hopefully find the port of
entry from England or Ireland and the town they lived in. Any help and
ideas would be most appreciated.
