J. D. (Jesse David) Griffin's wife was Nancy Susan Tharp. She was a sister to both wives of Chas. H. Robinson.

His first wife, Lavina Maud Tharp, died on March 4, 1908 of stomach cancer.

He then married Maud's younger sister, Lucy May Tharp, prior to June 8, 1909. The children shown in the home during the 1910 Corning, Clay Co., AR Census were the children of Charles & Maud. Lucy never gave birth to any children of her own.

My great-grandmother, Emma Jane Tharp Bodkin, was a sister to Nancy, Lavina Maud and Lucy May.
