DENNIS M. CONNER
Dennis Michael "Babe" CONNER, 54, Piggott, died Sunday, May 2, 2004 in his
home.
He was born August 5, 1949 in Qulin, Missouri, son of Elmer G. and Jamima
WININGNEAR CONNER. He was united in marriage to Shirleen "Sherry" SMITH on
September 27, 1974. To this union one son was born, Michael Wade.
He was of the Baptist faith and street superintendent for the City of
Piggott.
Preceding him in death was his father, Elmer G. CONNER.
Survivors are his wife, Shirleen "Sherry" CONNER; one son, Michael Wade
CONNER, both of Piggott; mother, Jamima CONNER; two brothers, Claude Allan
CONNER and Donald David CONNER, all of Qulin, Missouri; two sisters, Carolyn
DUNIVAN, Poplar Bluff, and Cheryl Susie FARLEY, Crockett; several nieces and
nephews and was loved by a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services were Wednesday morning, May 5, 2004, in Hoggard and Sons
chapel with David FINLEY, Alan MORRIS and Gerald MORRIS officiating. Burial
in Holcomb Cemetery, Pollard.
Pallbearers were Chad CONLEY, James DAVIS, Lambert WILLIAMS, Gary TROUT,
Tony RISINGER and Gary CHRONISTER.
ARGIE H. CLARK
Funeral services for Argie Henderson CLARK, age 90, of Tuckerman, were
conducted Tuesday morning in Dillinger Funeral Home chapel, Newport, with
Dennis TUCKER officiating. Burial was in Gracelawn Cemetery, Tuckerman
She was born in Tuckerman and worked as a bookkeeper for GRAHAM Brothers
Company and GREENHAW Mercantile Company, Tuckerman. She was self-employed as
co-owner of HENDERSON Market, Tuckerman.
Survivors are one brother, Dewey HENDERSON of Tuckerman and two sisters,
Mollie J. PENNINGTON of Jacksonville and Pauline H. MARTIN of Rogers. she
was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Scott HENDERSON and Cornelia
STONE HENDERSON; five brothers and four sisters. She was an aunt of Mrs.
Therman (Beverly) SHEPARD, Corning.
M.G. ROBINSON
Reverend Maxnell "M.G." ROBINSON, 75, Hillsboro, Missouri, died Saturday May
1, 2004 in his residence.
He was born November 9, 1928 in Knobel, son of Boyd and Eva HARTLEY ROBINSON
and served 39 years as a Baptist minister, including pastor, secretary of
missions for the BMA of Missouri, missionary and interim pastor.
Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Robbie BARNETT ROBINSON, Hillsboro;
daughter, Phyllis (Paul) SPEER, Pea Ridge and sons, Rick,Jr (Beverly)
ROBINSON, Culleoka, Tennessee and Dr. Dennis (Sheryl) ROBINSON, Farmington,
Missouri; nine grandchildren, Steph' Annie, Claire and Max ROBINSON,
Farmington; Alicia (John) SMITH and Dereck (Gretchen) SPEER, Coffeyville,
Kansas; Cara SPEER, Pea Ridge, Anna, Kathryn and Hunter SMITH and Deven
SPEER, Coffeyville; brothers, Albert (the late Mildred) ROBINSON, Imperial,
Missouri, Zeldon (Dot) ROBINSON, Lemay, Missouri, Dorman (Mary Francis)
ROBINSON, Selma, Alabama. Brothers, Hershel and Cleo ROBINSON are both
deceased.; sisters, Leona (Harry) WILLIAMS, Sikeston, Nona (Dan) HILDRETH,
Olympia, Washington, Shirley (Pete) TSHUDY, Salina, Kansas. One deceased
sister, Velma ROBINSON.
Three great grandchildren, Anna Katherine and Hunter SMITH and Deven SPEER,
Coffeyville, Kansas.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning, May 4, 2004 in Vinyard
Funeral Home, Festus, Missouri. Burial in Shepherd Hills Cemetery, Barnhart,
Missouri with Reverend Casey REED, pastor of Wildwood Baptist Church,
officiating.
Memorials may be made to Wildwood Baptist Church, 6702 State Road 21,
Barnhart, Missouri, 63012.
