Eagle Democrat, Warren, Arkansas:

Oct., 1944 - Mrs. Mary Emma Vance, aged 70, died at
her home in New Edinburg Tuesday morning, October 3.
She was a member of the Baptist church. Funeral
services were held at Mt. Lebanon Wednesday afternoon
at 3 o'clock by the Rev. J. L. Smith. Burial was in
McCoy cemetery. Surviving are her husband, T. E.
Vance of new Edinburg; one daughter, Mrs. S. S. Malcom
of West Monroe, La.; one son, T. A. Vance of New
Edinburg; two sisters, Mrs. Harve Byrd of New
Edinburg, and Mrs. H. E. Word of El Dorado; two
brothers, Jim Spears of New Edinburg and Guy Spears of
Minden, La.
