I'm trying to find out the facts about my gggrandfather, William Briggs
Disney, who died 1 Jul 1914 Van Buren, Crawford Co. AR. I've been told that
he was born 22 Jul 1853 Warren Co. IA, but the 1880 Census says that he was
born in OH.

Is there an easy way to find a death record for him? Are there some local
funeral home addresses I could write to, in hopes that they would have
records for him? How about obituaries? Would they be difficult, or easy to
find -- any suggestions?

I've looked through the Crawford Co. USGW pages, and see that Death
Certificates are $7.00, Marriage $5.00, and they have records since
1877! Have people had good luck ordering them from the courthouse?

I would love to find both his marriages -- to Mary C. WALTERS c.1873, and to
Mrs. Lydia Ann Sutton, his second wife -- but I have no idea when they
married. Supposedly it was in Crawford Co. Would that be easy? or hard to
look up. I've looked through the marriages on Ancestry for AR, and don't see
Lydia's marriage to ?? Sutton, but supposedly she was the daughter of David
Boyd and Ruth Enlow, so the marriage could be indexed under Disney, Sutton
or Boyd. (There were no Disney marriages in the Ancestry.com list)

I see he and Mary (and my great-grandmother Minnie) in the 1880 Federal
Census for AR:
