Here is a website with books of extractions from the papers in Crawford
County beginning with the Arkansas Intelligencer from 1843-1858. The
next one is the Van Buren Press 1859-1912, Van Buren Argus, Van Buren
Press- Argus, and New Era (1863-1864). These books of extractions are
for sale but you can look these up yourself on microfilm. I bought the
three volumes of the Arkansas Intelligencer. I don't know if there are
other newspapers.
