I can't tell you how excited I am to hear from you. I have had no luck chasing the Sloops!

Miles C Sloop (1825-1865/68) was the son-in-law of Field Turner Southall. Mary Ann Southall was Miles' wife. She remarried an Ussery or Ussary... I don't know what the real spelling is.

I have a lot of information on Field's siblings and his ancestors. Southall is an intesting family. My sister has spent 20 some years working on them in VA alone. A branch of the family owned the Raleigh Tavern and Washington spent time "at Southall's."
