I would like to hear from anyone who remembers going to the MOSS theatres
in Winchester, Rohwer, Backgate, or Halley during the period covering about
1945 or 1946 to about 1953. My parents, Calvin "Cap" MOSS and Essie MOSS
ran the theatres, with the help of various relatives, and they were generally
located in old store buildings, but the ones at Backgate and Rohwer were
built by my parents. The one at Halley was a canvas wall, with no roof
of any kind. We showed the older movies, and especailly the westerns were
appreciated. If you have a special memory of attending the movies at one
of these theatres, or have any old photographs of the crowd waiting to
