Is your John Carpenter of the same Carpenters that came to Drew
County/Ashley Co. via Mississippi?

Also, is this McClure the same as the Drew Co. McLures/McClures? (The ones
I knew were descended from Thomas laurel mcLure. He was a big man and was
called Bigboy McLure.
