Jann, I'm not sure. The first History of Ashley Co. was written by an
Etheridge who came from the Mt. Olive bunch, who I am sure is the same
bunch. I'm not sure about the Green Hill bunch being the same. Something
in the back of my mind makes me think there was a connection, but I can't
say for sure. The only way I am connected to the Etheridges is through the
Aaron Etheidge bunch,as their old grandmother was Rachel Mihaley Etheridge.
I do know that there was a large batch of these in NC that went down to
Perry Co., AL, and on across to AR. I ran into a researcher who said they
were the same because of the Aaron commonality. I didn't pay as much
attention as I should have because Perry Co. was where they parted company
w/my Wolfes who had come from Orangeburgh , SC, before there. Sorry. beth
