Mrs. J.A. McMahan of Wooster Dies at Hospital Here

Mrs. Sallie Eugenia McMahan, 64, wife of J.A. McMahan suffered a
stroke of paralysis a number of years ago and she entered the hospital
when her condition became critical two weeks ago.
She was born at Wooster Dec. 21, 1889, and lived in that vicinity all
her life. She was a daughter of the late I.S. and Laura Henderson Ball.
Mrs. McMahan was a Baptist and a member of the Order of the Eastern
Star. She was married in 1904.
Also surviving are a son, John G. McMahan of Little Rock; three
daughters, Mrs. Allen (Leah) Glover of Wooster, Mrs. Ludy Wofford of
Conway and Mrs. Montine Johnson of Little Rock; a sister, Mrs. W.E.
McClain of Conway; two brothers, J.W. Ball of Wooster and C.N. Ball of
Little Rock, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral will be at Pleasant Valley Church at 2 p.m. Sunday by the
Rev. W.J. Burgess, Dr. J.E. Cobb and the Rev. Levi Reynolds. Burial will
be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery by Doolin's Funeral Home. Pallbearers
will be as follows: Active -- Leo McClain, Charles Ball, Garvin Ball,
John Prince, Emmett Ball an dWilliam McMahan; Honory -- Johnnie
Cantrell, Dr. Keller Lieblong, Herbert Barton, Dan Smith, Calvin Euler,
V.H. Summers and members of the Pleasant Valley Church.
