Log Cabin Democrat, November 21, 1985
Glenn Glover, 78, former instructor, dies at hospital
Glenn Anderson Glover, 78, of Greenbrier, teacher in the Greenbrier
School District for 37 years, died Tuesday (Nov. 19, 1985) at Conway
Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 2, 1907, at Greenbrier, he was a son of Drewey Anderson and
Sarah Catherine Glenn Glover.
Mr. Glover, who retired in 1970, was principal at Wooster Junior High
School, which was a branch school of the Greenbrier district, for two
decades, and taught fifth and sixth grades at Greenbrier Elementary
School from 1960 until his retirement. In November 1983, the Greenbrier
School District's Board of Education named the new middle school after
Mr. Glover.
Mr. Glover was a member of the national, Arkansas and Faulkner County
retired teachers associations and was a member of Immanuel Baptist
Church at Greenbrier.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Iva Salter Glover, and two sisters, Mrs.
Merle Lowry of Conway and Mrs. Maxine Carpenter of North Little Rock.
Funeral services wil be at 2:30 p.m tomorrow at Immanuel Baptist
Church with the Revs. Gaylon King and Craig Branham officiating. Burial
will be in East Shady Grove Cemetery at Greenbrier by McNutt Funeral
Home.
Pallbearers will be R.D. Langley, Cledus Moore, Arlis Pruitt, Ben T.
Vann, Wade Howell and Delbert Adams.
