Hi Bill,

I have been checking my notes and Arch was the son of William, born in 1882.
William's first wife, Martha Jane Francis "Pattie" Jennett, died somewhere
between 1904 and 1910. William is single by the 1910 census. He remarried in
1911, a Miss Ellen R. York. Around 1913 had a daughter named Winnie, William
being in his late sixties! I am trying to find out when his first wife,
Pattie, died.

There are many mysteries concerning this family. It has been passed down that
William had a Cherokee mother. His father was named "Osema", an unusal name.
Another family legend has him driving a wagon for the Cherokees during the
Trail of Tears. As a reward he was given a Cherokee bride. I have info about
Osema's childhood, but his years during the Trail of Tears are missing. Alas
the legends remain legends.
I am very happy to have such interesting ancestors!
I am also missing much of the history from William's years in Arkansas.
I do have his Muster Roll Cards from his time with the 10th Missouri
Volunteer Infantry Co. H CSA.
