Hi all,

I am a descendant of the Meeks family of Pitt Co NC, then Georgia. Parts
of the family came to Arkansas in the 1850's, settling in Clark Co.
Among those was a Hillery H Meeks that married a Susan Cruse/Crews in
1873. At some point Hillery and Susan moved to GARLAND county. Susan
filed for a widows pension based on Hillery's civil war service, while
living in Garland Co.

I am interested in contacting anyone doing Meeks research, especially
any descendants of Hillery and Susan. I learned last night that they had
at least one son named Henry. I have reason to believe that Hillery and
Susan were the ancestors of part of the Garland Co Meeks families.
Hillery H Meeks was the nephew of my 2gr-gf, Hillery Meeks of Bartow Co
GA and I have his ancestry if anyone is interested. THANKS!
