My only people in Hempstead was HENRY DIXONand his wife NANCY HUBBARD. They
came to the county about 1835. Henry is the person who donated land that
later became known as DIXON'S PARCEL .
Henry and Nancy were also followed by Son 1. MILLER HUBBARD DIXON and his
wife NANCY MISSOURI ZACHARY and some of her Kin. Her father was BARTLETT
ZACHARY.
Other children who may have lived there or married there were
2. HANNA ANN DIXON who married a WILSON
3. HENRY HARRISON DIXON - who was killed at Goliad Texas
4. WINFIELD SCOTT DIXON who married MARY K. CLAYTON
5. ROBERT WALLACE DIXON who married twice, SARAH ANN BURLISON & JANE GIDEON
6. HARRIETT MARTHA DIXON who married ROBERT COMINES possibly in Fannin Co.
Tx.
7. WILLIAM AUGUSTUS DIXON no information.

I would welcome any information on any member of this family.
