T. J.,
Who was the A.J. JEFFERY you mentioned below? Can you post his "government
records and journals" for us?
Rosemary GILLIHAN Kenney (JEFFERY descendant, too)

Early information of Izard Co. Langston research, most done by a man named
Lucius Langston.... but forth the theory that Samuel Bennett Langston was
the father of the Izard Co. Langston.... Some of that MISINFORMATION came
from a ghastly genealogy book done in 1920's titled BILLINGSLY'S IN
AMERICA. I worked with Kathyrn Langston for 5 years..... THAT THEORY IS
WRONG,WRONG,WRONG!!! The father of NATHAN J. LANGSTON, was Caleb Langston,
died in Union South Carolina in 1800 and his wife Elizabeth.... Caleb
Langston was the son of Absolom & Christian Bennett Langston.. It was
Lucius's theory that his TOTALLY MADE UP Samuel Bennett was also a son of
Absolom... ABSOLOM and Christian DID have a son BENNETT.... he married Mary
Smith and they went to KY about 1805.... oddly enough so did the orphaned
sons of Caleb. .., who were his nephews..... WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY .......
I will gladly list the goverment records and journals of A.J. Jeffery's and
J.J. Sams which verify this theory......... There was a Samuel Langston,
there were several Bennett Langstons..... but no SAMUEL BENNETT LANGSTON,
as a son of Absolom and Christian........... tj
