Dear George,
I married a Taylor who descended from James Madison Taylor who was born
in Ill. and moved to Fulton/Lawrence Co. in 1845? They lived there all
their lives for 4 generations. James M. son was Thomas Jefferson who
married Widow Amanda M. Partee Robinson from Izard Co. Amanda was the
dau. of George and Mary Partee and Grandaughter of Lewis Partee from Ky.
I do not see any connection to your Taylors.
Another Line I'm hunting is a George A. Taylor. His daughter Francis
"Fanny" Caroline Taylor married Matt Taylor, the son of Amanda and
Thomas Jefferson Taylor. George and his wife Alcy Jane Turner are
supposed to have lived 10 years in Laclede Co., Mo. (Lebanon). I cant
prove a thing about him. He was shot and killed in 1895 in Fulton Co.
where he was working as a stationmaster for the railroad. Any George
Taylor attracts my attention.:-)
Also Ransom Hamm had only one brother, Luke and he died early I think.
His sister was Sally Hamm Finley who married Sheb Finley and lived there
always. Ransom's father was killed by a horse when the kids were little
and his wife Hannah Johnson Hamm worked herself and her kids hard to try
to make a living.
Ransom had an uncle Phillip Hamm who lived in Cary, Texas after 1915 so
this might be a connection. But Ransom's daughter Velma said they went
where Essie's parents lived.
