Well, I just saw where Betty knows a daughter of this couple, without
some help from the 1920 cenus I couldn't have helped you until Betty
gave the names of Charlie and Bertie Smith Langston, now I can take
you back.

If Mildred is the daughter of Charley A. Langston, now, please note, I
do not have Charley's family in my database, I feel fortunate to have
found Charley, actually there is 2 Charley's that were born about the
same time period, but I believe this is the correct one, if not I'll give
you what I have on the other one.

I have Benjamin Franklin (Frank) bn Feb 1852
and Mary E., I don't have Mary's
maiden name entered in my program, I feel I have it somewhere
in my jungle but its not readily available as I'm looking for it. (what
else is new) of course, LANGSTON, the 1900 and 1880 census
is the source for Benjamin's family.

Charles A. July 1891 d:1964 (Old Philadelphia Cem)
married Bertie Smith 24 Dec 1912 Izard Co.,Ar she
was bn 26 Aug 1893 and d:08 Feb 1968 (Combs Cem.)

Annie M bn Nov 1893
Fannie L. bn Nov 1896
Mary C. bn June 1899
Mary E. shows to have had 10 children and that 10 were alive, if I've
counted correctly the census only gives 8 maybe Betty can find the
other 2 out from her friend.

Benjamin F. was the son of John and Rebecca (Potts or Ragsdale???)))
John was bn ca 1820 to Absolom and Dorcus YOUNG LANGSTON.

And Absolom, was one of the original 5 Langston brothers who came to
Ar with their mother Elizabeth LANGSTON DARNEAL, (maiden name unknown)
wife of James Darneal. The father was Caleb who died 1800 Union Dist SC.

Nice to see all these descendents of Absolom and Dorcas coming out
and being counted.
