Mornin' Cousin Bettye,
Sounds like you and I may have crossed paths in the past! I, too, remember
going to the "old" Forrest Chapel church. I've bored many a person telling
them of the wagon rides to church with Mama and Papa Melton. Papa helped
build the new church. Did you ever go to singing school at Brockwell? There
were a few kids from Calico Rock who went. One girl was a GOOD singer! The
Melton farm is closer to Brockwell but the Waggoner farm was on the other
side of Forrest Chapel from Harrison and Rinda (Dorinda) Hames house. Carl
Hames was the closest house to the church and his parents house was across
and down the road from him.
I went to school at Violet Hill in the 7th grade and then Mom, my brother
Tadd, and I moved to Mtn. Home. Small world, huh!
You will soon be "immersed" in "piles of files" looking for past ancestors.
WARNING....genealogy is addictive! LOL
Evalyn Waggoner Champion... your cousin!
