Thanks so much for the info on the Thomas H. Walker line. I've updated my
records with your information.

I have nine children documented for Robert T. and Jane. I would think
that's enough to fill a wagon -- but, let me know if I'm missing any!

By chance, do you have any information on Robert's sisters? I'm sure I have
all the brothers documented, but I am no doubt missing some of his sisters
according to 1830/1840 censuses.

My direct blood line looks like this:

John A. Walker, Sr.
....John A. Walker, Jr.
........Hartwell B. Walker
............William Wiley Walker
................Eun Garfield Walker
....................Hubert Otis Walker
........................and my dad... Ray Walker.

Jeff,

Nice to meet a fellow cousin, also. I do not know how much info you have on
Robert T. Walker's line. He married Jane Hightower b. ca. 1819 in Kentucky.
Their first son, Thomas H. Walker born 1835 was my gr-gr-grandfather. They
had a whole wagonload of children. If you don't have their names, let me
know. Robert T. and Jane supposedly lived near Stella in a 2 story log
house
with a double fireplace. During the Civil War, Jane supposedly shot at
bushwhackers through the windows on the upper floor. Robert apparently died
shortly after 1860 - there was some kind of epidemic. Jane died not long
after 1865 according to tax records.

Anyway, I descend from Robert and Jane's oldest son, Thomas H. Walker b.
1835. He was killed in the Civil War. He first served in the First 30 Day
Arkansas Regiments out of Pocahontas as a corporal and later served in
Fristoe's Missouri Regiment. I recently came across papers that showed he
was even in the Christian County, Missouri, militia. Anyway, he had a wife,
Martha Franklin b. 1843, and they had two children: Mary Jane Walker Gray
(1860 - Feb. 11, 1878), first wife of Jackson Powell Gray and the mother of
their first son, Ewell Gray (1878 - 1951). My gr-grandfather was William
Thomas Walker (May 10, 1862 - Oct. 16, 1945). W.T. was the father of Fred
G.
Walker and the grandfather of Verl, Basil, Noil, and Osburn Walker - Izard
County notables for their time. I am the son of Osburn Walker.
