Bernie,
I wore a few of those feed sack dresses myself, even had some underwear
made from the white floursacks, but others wore them too, so like you say
we didn't know any different. I think that is so sad when one is not able
to read and write, I don't know how may parents got enough schooling to
learn as they were both orphaned very early in their lives. Sounds as
though you were a tremendous help to your parents.
I would like the email of the lady in Tulsa who will look up obits. My
dad's aunt (the one I mentioned who was married to one of Max Parnell's
relatives) died in Tulsa and I would like to see if she could find her obit
