Thanks for getting back with me about the Hightowers. I knew there were two
Joshua Hightowers. I don't have my Hightower information with me right now,
but it does seem like Tony Rockefeller has the parents of my Joshua Hightower
on his website. Joshua and Mary Ann were kissing cousins. I would be happy
to correspond with you about the Hightowers. I am connected to the
Hightowers by marriage in several ways. One of those is through my
gr-gr-grandfather Wm. Moses Mathis's brother, David Blackburn Mathis who
married a Hightower. Wasn't she a sister or daughter of your Joshua
Hightower? Mose Mathis's daughter, Nancy Ann also married a Hightower. My
gr-uncle, Samuel Peter McMurtrey married Christiana Hightower, and my dad's
first cousin, Lockie Finley married a Hightower.
