Dear Listmembers,

Does anyone have a copy of the 1860 - 1870 Census for Independence County?

My 2nd gr grandfather, John D. FERGUSON, b. abt 1843, TN, married Sarah L.
BALLARD on October 29, 1862, in Independence County.

I am trying to place him in a family, as I have been stumped forever with
regards to his line, and just recently have been contacted by a FERGUSON
researcher with 20 years worth of collecting them. I feel sure if I can
place him in a family, I will then open up the door for a lot more information.

There was one John D. FERGUSON, b. about the same time, listed in Civil War
records, as from Hayward County, TN. Not sure whether he was the same, as
I believe there were more than one of them.
