Jeannia (and all),
You said, "If you get the book you have to read first: Reflections 26, A
Civil War Experience of Some Arkansas Women in Indian Territory." You
didn't tell us that! I've already read the other one first (on your
recommendation.) Oh well, by the time I get "Reflections 26" and read it,
I'll be ready to re-read (read it again for the very first time) "THE
WOMEN'S WAR IN THE SOUTH....." <BG>
I've forgotten where I found my copy of "The Women's War in the South....."
(got it online, I think) - where did you find the "Reflections 26....."?
Actually, I agree with you; it IS a very good, worthwhile book to read - and
I always appreciate when any of you recommend a good book. Unfortunately,
there is "so many books, too little time." :-)
This bit is to all of you........
I'm still WAY behind on emails and don't see myself catching up any time
soon (I start a new job today!) BUT the other day I was reading a few emails
from our List and I was just reminded, again, of what a friendly, helpful,
caring List we are blessed with!
Hope you all have a great day.
God bless you all,
Rosemary Gillihan Kenney

Bernie,
You know what they say about "2 great minds". ha ha
The Civil War Times is a monthly magazine that you should be able to find at
a bookstore that carries a wide selection of magazines. I am not sure if
Wal-Mart carries it in their magazine section or not. They might even have
a website. I will have to check that out and get back to you on that one.
The book that I had recommended was, THE WOMEN'S WAR IN THE SOUTH,
RECOLLECTIONS AND REFLECTIONS OF THE AMERICAN CIVIL WAR. Edited by, Charles
G. Waugh and Martin H. Greenberg. Published by, Cumberland House. If you
get the book you have to read first: Reflections 26, A Civil War Experience
of Some Arkansas Women in Indian Territory.
Hope this helps.
Jeannia
