Hi Peggy in Tulsa,

We have been on vacation for a while, and just catching up on your
e-mail about the McWherter family. We have corresponded before about
the McWherter family. My McWhorter family is from a different line,
but just found this in my file. You may have seen it before, but
thought I would send it since I think it is your family. A researcher
from our family thought L. W. McWherter might be the "Levi" McWherter
that we are looking for, but after seeing your posting of this family,
we think L. W is Lee Roy W. McWherter, father of Lydia Ann Belle
McWherter.

L. W. McWherter petitions in open court to be appointed
general guardian of Lydia Ann B. McWherter, his own
child--granted.

Weakley Co Tenn November 1854 term

This day L. W. McWherter petitions in open court to be
appointed guardian of James M, Paralee, Eliz, Almus
McWherter, minor heirs of James McWherter deceased.

Didn't get date on these but early 50s.

George W McWherter petitions to be appointed guardian of
John B and Lasvinia Sprout, children of Alexander Sprout.

James McWherter d. intestate, James M Ridgeway, W. R.
