This Oscar Lewis Hays was the son of Ed Hays and his wife; Arrena Caroline
"Anna" Beard. Ed had several wives, one of which was my gggrandmother;
Rebecca Jane Potts Langston.

I actually was sent a photograph of Ed Hays from Gary Perkey, pictured with
my Rebecca Jane, if you are interested. He is a Langston descendant from
the Cathey line.

Sharron Scott of this List is the real Hays expert. She works during the
daytime hours, I think. But, if she sees your post, she will jump in.

As I recall, seems there was mention that Ed Hays was a minister? You'll
have to ask Sharron to know for sure. I really don't have that much on
Oscar Hays, but here is what I do have and am sure that it came from Sharron
Scott:
