<<Wasn't Doc Z Sheid 27 years old when he married Octavia Rector ? What's
to say he didn't marry before her ? ? ?
I haven't found anything about another wife. His obit doesn't say a thing
about a widow.>>

A great deal would be told from how this 1900 census that Bill (or Harold?)
found and how Dr. Zach was enumerated on it, don't you think?

<<1900 Izard Co., Arkansas census, Mill Creek Twp., P.O. Melbourne, #148:
J. Marshall Rector's family is listed a "boarder" by the name of "Zac T.
Sheid", age 26, (Jun 1873) listed as born in AR, occupation "physician".
Also listed was a daughter, "Tavia J.", age 21.>>

T. C. McGuffey? Not Guffey?

I had one McGuffey in my database:

Descendants of William "Squire" Wood

1 William "Squire" Wood b: 1814 in Tennessee d: 1879
.. +Othena McGuffey
......... 2 James R. Wood b: December 1858 in Arkansas
............. +Mary A. Vest b: February 1861 in Arkansas m: 1879
......... 2 Sarah Francis "Fannie" Wood b: February 1870 in Calico Rock,
Izard Co., Arkansas d: December 19, 1924 in Calico Rock, Izard Co.,
Arkansas Burial: Spring Creek Cemetery-Izard Co., Arkansas
............. +Alexander Logan "Alex" Dillard b: September 18, 1867 in
Calico Rock, Izard Co., Arkansas m: June 16, 1890 in Calico Rock, Izard Co.,
Arkansas d: July 25, 1935 in Calico Rock, Izard Co., Arkansas Burial: Spring
