Most of my Thomason info came from a Ralph C. Thomason, with whom I had
correspondence many years ago (1970s). There was quite a bit of confusion
over who was who. It was felt that the Robert (age 49) in the 1850 census
with William P. (age 31) (a difference of 18 years ) was reasonable to be
father and son. Ralph had done tons of leg in this area...lived in Tenn. He
was an old man then...and I lost touch in the early 80s. I wonder what
happened to all his paper research...but then with all the new stuff, most
of it is old news...but you never know. Looking at some of the old
letters...I see we had conversation about this same census record. I find
the same family ancestry on the LDS site, Gencircle site, and
rootsweb. .Not to say that 10 or 15 wrongs make it right. LOL
