I was just looking at this gentleman's chart, as a possibility of being the
father of that Fanny Jane Speak Mason. I guess I was looking for the "aunt
relationship" for Carey Speak to be on the head of the household side; in
this instance being Richard Mason and from what you have unearthed, it must
be on his wife's Speak side - obviously.

The last child that I have born to Nancy Brockman Speak - Thomas Asbury's
wife - was in 1880............Nancy. No further information on this Speak
family; since we are missing the 1890 census............except for the fact
that his second marriage was to a Clarisse.

Note: This Clarisse's second marriage was to Alonzo L. Foster, Sr.

Not knowing when Nancy Brockman Speak passed away, but in looking at all
other possibilities - I just have to think that Fanny Jane Speak Mason was
the daugter of Thomas Asbury Speak and this Nancy Brockman - unless Thomas
Speak was able to sneak in a marriage before his to Clarisse.

So, Vera - thanks for all the info - and as you well know, it helped a great
deal. Appreciate it and I am sure that the guy that I am helping, thanks
you as well!
